The 2026 Formula 1 season was originally planned as a 24-race calendar, but conflict in the Middle East forced organisers to cancel the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and relocate the Bahrain Grand Prix, leaving a revised 23-round championship.

Notable Changes This Year
Madrid makes its calendar debut in September, running alongside the existing Barcelona-Catalunya race in June to give Spain two Grands Prix. Malaysia’s Sepang circuit steps in to keep the Bahrain Grand Prix alive after the original event was pulled from the schedule.
Six Sprint Weekends
