Upcoming Cricket Tournaments in 2026: Global Calendar

A global guide to the cricket tournaments still to come in 2026, from the Women's T20 World Cup to the Asian Games and beyond.

Cricket’s 2026 calendar has already delivered a men’s T20 World Cup, but the year’s back half is just as packed with major tournaments across formats and continents.

Tournaments Already Completed

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, wrapped up in early March with an Indian title win, covered fully in our T20 World Cup 2026 recap. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup followed in June-July in England and Wales, part of a landmark year for the women’s game.

Currently Underway

  • The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 in the UAE, running August 28-September 13, detailed in our Asia Cup 2026 schedule guide
  • India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh, running through September 13

Still to Come

  • The Asian Games cricket competition in Aichi, Japan, September 24-October 3, featuring 10 men’s teams in T20 format
  • India’s home white-ball series against West Indies, September 27-October 17
  • Australia’s Test and ODI tour of South Africa, September 24-October 31, part of the current World Test Championship cycle
  • India’s home series against Sri Lanka to close the year in December

A Year Without a Men’s Asia Cup

One notable absence from the 2026 calendar is a men’s Asia Cup, with the next edition not scheduled until 2027 in the ODI format. Instead, 2026 has focused on Associate-nation qualifiers feeding into that tournament.
